King's Henry's Tavern's Group

Our initial consultation helped us to understand what the King’s Henry’s Tavern company wanted to achieve with their pub interiors.  The consultation offered an opportunity to establish the service Puji could offer.  Creative ideas and skills where discussed in relation to how the seating space could be enhanced.  

The Kings Henry's Taverns have been in business for over 20 years and have built a renowned reputation of providing good quality food at sensible prices with the pubs. The pubs wanted to appeal to families and couples during the day and early evening, who wanted to enjoy an affordable meal. They also wanted to provide areas for larger groups to socialise in the evening.

Once we understood the vision of our client we were able to focus on developing a concept and illustrating our ideas.  The project involved designing an interior theme which would be implemented into 3 main pubs.  The Ragley Boat Stop in Derby, Man At Arms in Lutterworth and The Honey Bee in Doverdale.  

It was decided that the refurbishment and ‘New Look Interior’ would be launched first at The Ragley Boat stop and the theme would then be continued through to the other pubs with each interior being slightly adapted to reflect the pub layout.

Our aim was to design and supply furniture and seating that both reflected the honest approach of the pubs and suited the history of the pub building.  We choose robust, good quality materials such as  rustic reclaimed teak dining tables that were rich with character.  These were complimented with high back leather dining chairs to create a comfortable, exciting and memorable interior.  The overall effect was an warm and inviting space which certainly reflected the menu. 

Intimate and relaxing seating areas were created through the use of hand woven banana sofas which added contrast and texture to the interior.  Rustic teak coffee tables were positioned between these making the perfect resting place for a glass or light bites from the bar.  Hand carved wall art was added to create feature walls and large floor standing vases introduced to give life to unused corners.

All furniture was fully installed by our in house delivery team and a luxurious interior was created.
