How To Choose The Perfect Wardrobe

Your wardrobe is the second most important purchase you will make for your bedroom after your bed. But where do you start? First of all think practical and consider the points below:

1. How much space do you need to comfortable house all of your clothes?
2. Would you prefer a freestanding or fitted wardrobe?
3. Do you need lots of long hanging space for coats and dresses or shorter hanging space for suits?

A gent's wardrobe is typically half (50-70%) hanging space with one or more drawers at the base. They are sometimes referred to as combination wardrobes. Extra drawers provide useful storage for items such as jumpers or spare bedding.

Full hanging wardrobes are made up with a hanging rail that offers enough internal space to hang long dresses and coats. They can also offer space for shoes, bags and luggage in the bottom.

Freestanding wardrobes offer the most versatility in terms of cost and can be taken with you when you move home. Freestanding wardrobes are designed to fit in an average alcove, but always get out your tape measure and check your measurements before you purchase.

Freestanding wardrobes can give your room a much more individual and relaxed feel. Fitted wardrobes will give you extra space but can make your bedroom look more formal.

Oak wood is very much like Teak, it is dense and strong and looks great left natural or stained to mid or dark tones.  Teak is one of the hardest timbers you can purchase and is often used for outdoor furniutre as it is so durable therefore it can occasionally be slightly more expensive than Oak.

If you are on the lookout for something tall, dark and handsome then our classic Henry gent's wardrobe could be just the ticket.
